Arm lift is a procedure that removes sagging in the arm, tightens it and allows the arm to regain its former form. Liposuction method is generally preferred in young patients. Since there will be scars after skin removal, it is generally recommended to reduce the arm diameter with liposuction and wear a corset for 1 month. If the level of sagging in the arm is low, an incision is made only in the armpit, leaving a scar, and the skin is removed and liposuction is performed (Horizontal arm lift). Although the surgical technique varies in patients with more sagging, the scar usually goes from the armpit to the elbow area. In patients with more advanced sagging or adiposity, the scar may exceed the elbow area and may turn into an inverted T under the armpit. Recovery Process :

Medicines that should not be used:

1. Painkillers such as Apranax, Voltaren, Vermidon (Minoset, Novalgin can be used when painkillers are needed).
2. Multivitamin pills containing substances such as Ginseng, Ginko Biloba, CO-enzyme Q.
3. -Consumption of herbal products such as green tea, flaxseed, cherry stem, tomato seeds and all slimming products should be stopped 7 days before.

Cautions and Complications

• Since all the stitches are under the skin, there is no need to remove stitches.
• Complications of the surgery are usually minimal. The most common problem is a slight opening of the stitches in the moist area under the armpit and it heals spontaneously.
• A rare problem may be the swelling of the scar called hypertrophic scarring in the scar area. Scar removal creams and silicone dressings are recommended for the scar. Edema in the arm due to liposuction may persist for a long time.
• Bleeding under the skin at the operation site may cause infection. Drains can be used to prevent bleeding under the skin. Post-op 1. taken on the day.
