What is Body Aesthetics

We can’t stay young all the time. Staying young, looking fit, a healthy body is the desire of every person. Stress, gravity, weight gain and loss, sun rays, hormonal foods, genetically modified foods, pregnancy, military service, our habits, our lives, radiation from screens wear us out. Even if not all at once, our tissues loosen, skin quality deteriorates, skin elasticity decreases. Aesthetic operations enter our lives in this period. We used to start doing aesthetic operations at the age of 35. Currently, this age has dropped to 25 or even 20. Aesthetics has become a habit. Of course, there is a region that every person does not like on their body. The rapid elimination of this undesirable situation and the rapid healing process encourage people to have aesthetic surgery.

Body shaping operations are among the most common aesthetic operations. So what are these aesthetic body operations: Arm lift, breast reduction or augmentation, tummy tuck, leg lift, back lift, liposuction. These operations are usually performed in combination. The hospitalisation period is usually 2 days and the recovery period is 1 week for single operations and 2 weeks for combined operations. The most common operations in women are breast reduction followed by tummy tuck, gynaecomastia and liposuction in men. Women complain of sagging in the abdomen and breast area after motherhood. Men also complain of growth in the breast area due to hormonal foods and weight and generally fat in the abdominal area. The duration of these operations is very variable. It usually lasts 4 hours and is planned not to exceed 6 hours. Smoking is prohibited before and after 3 weeks.
Body shaping operations are more difficult in people who lose excessive weight and undergo sleeve gastrectomy. Correction operations, which we call revision, are more common. Since the elasticity of the skin is lost, there is very little recovery of the skin. Postoperative rebound laxity is very common. What does that mean? It is necessary to sew the skin with a certain tension. When sewn tauter, the seam is opened. Since the elastic ligaments in the skin are reduced, the postoperative tension causes the skin to release itself and a stretching operation is performed again in the same area within 1 year. For this reason, combined operations in these patients are not completed at once, but divided into 2 or 3. The 2nd operation was started at the same time as the 1st. is a correction of the operation. Correction operations take less time. After these operations, patients increase their self-confidence, have better human relations, and perform body cleaning more easily. Always after the operation, the first day after the operation, why did I have surgery turns into a good thing on the other days.

The larger the defect in the body, the greater the difficulty and variety of surgery. The most common problems of this operation are scarring and asymmetry. It would be best to decide on such surgeries after two or three consultations with your plastic surgeon. They are simple but risky operations. The results are very encouraging.
